books

Hey! All of you that love to read books talk about some books in this posts.

  1. Hello, Donovan! I had such GREAT fun playing cards with you at Carl and Sonya's!

I want to tell you about the most recent books I've read. If a book is fiction, I get hooked into the story so completely that I literally won't do ANYTHING until I finish it. Therefore, for the past 5 years or so, I mostly listen to fiction. David and I have bought almost 500 audiobooks in that time, so I have LOTS of favorites -- and most of them are in the "audible kids" category, even though I'm an adult lol!

Anyway, one book is called Graveyard, and it's by Neil Gaiman. I liked one book of his long time ago, and then I didn't like his later ones, so I was a little leery when I bought this one. But the plot sounded so good that I gave it a chance, and boy am I glad I did!

It's about a little baby whose whole family is murdered one night, but he crawls out and, as he happens to live near a cemetery, he crawls there -- and ends up being raised by the spirits whose bodies are buried there! It's a super FUNNY book, with lots of suspense and subplots and really neat characters in it, and I think you'd like it if you like science fiction/fantasy/supernatural at all.

Write back! I've put you on my bookmarks now so that I can be sure to keep checking back on your blog. I can't wait to hear how your own book is coming along!

    Your friend,
    Colleen

If you want to talk about something else just talk about it if it isn't against the rules.
